Former Real Madrid player Gareth Bale has made a very bold prediction ahead of the UEFA Champions League (UCL) final between Manchester City and Inter Milan which will be played on Saturday (June 10) at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium, Istanbul.

Bale has predicted a 5-0 victory for City.

The Welshman also talked about his days at the Spanish Club saying that Madrid’s mentality is a great confidence booster before any big match.

“The mentality of Real Madrid before a big UCL game gave you that confidence going into finals,” the five-time CL winner said.

He also mentioned Madrid’s previous captain Sergio Ramos who served the Los Blancos for 16 years.

“Sergio Ramos was the captain who led the speeches before the game. But with the ‘aura’ of Real Madrid you expect to win every game,” he added.

“Best player to have ever won the UEFA Champions League? Messi.”

Earlier, 2010 treble winner Wesley Sneijder also predicted the outcome of the UCL final.

Dutch legend predicted an Inter Milan victory on penalties as he feels that the match will go into extra time after a 1-1 draw in normal time.

"Manchester City can win the treble but they won’t. To win the Champions League after the league and cup is an incredible feeling. My prediction is that it is going to penalties. That is exciting for everyone so I think full-time 1-1 and then Inter win on penalties", he said.

The 39-year-old also praised Erling Haaland who has already scored 52 goals in 52 games this season including 12 goals in the Champions League.

"They really needed a striker and he is the one who is now scoring all the goals, making a difference up front. With all of the technical players around him, he was just the missing part for Manchester City. He is the difference maker…. the most important player [at City this season] has been Haaland. Without a doubt Haaland," he added.

It must be noted that City, who have already clinched the Premier League and the FA Cup, are just a UCL title away from becoming the second English team in history to win a treble.
